Polymarket Front-End Compromise Investigation
Polymarket.com international platform · October 29, 2026
Hall Attorneys is investigating the reported front-end compromise involving Polymarket.com’s international platform on October 29, 2026. Polymarket disclosed a third-party provider compromise and said affected users would be made whole. We are reviewing unauthorized transactions, reported wallet losses, the platform’s response, and potential claims on behalf of affected users.
What has Polymarket disclosed?
Polymarket’s official incident history records the following updates on October 29, 2026. All times below are UTC:
- 6:05 p.m.: Polymarket said the exchange was in cancel-only mode and relayer actions were paused while it investigated an incident.
- 6:37 p.m.: Polymarket said it had identified and fixed an issue affecting its international platform, attributed it to a compromised third-party provider, and referred the matter to law enforcement. It promised to make affected users whole and said trading was temporarily halted.
- 6:55 p.m.: A monitoring update announced an expected trading restart at approximately 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
- 7:05 p.m.: The status history marked the incident resolved.
These are the company’s status-update times, not a verified timeline of the attacker’s access or individual losses. A resolved service notice does not establish that every reimbursement is complete.
The cited incident updates do not identify the provider, explain the technical entry point, or quantify affected users or losses. Hall Attorneys has not independently verified individual wallet losses or the full scope of the compromise.
What does a front-end compromise mean here?
The front end is the website interface people use to view an account, interact with a wallet, and submit actions. Reports describing a front-end compromise raise questions about what users saw or were asked to authorize. The exact mechanism of this October 29 incident remains under investigation.
A third-party provider compromise does not, by itself, establish that private keys were stolen, that Polymarket’s smart contracts were exploited, or that every connected wallet was affected. We are investigating whether website interactions, account access, approvals, or signatures were connected to unauthorized activity.
Polymarket distinguishes its international platform at Polymarket.com from Polymarket US. The October 29 incident disclosure names the international platform; it does not establish an incident affecting Polymarket US.
This page concerns the October 29, 2026 disclosure. Reports about earlier Polymarket security incidents should not be used to establish the cause, number of affected users, or losses in this event.
What if Polymarket promised reimbursement?
A promise to make affected users whole is not confirmation that each user has received payment or that every claimed loss is covered. We are reviewing reimbursement communications, amounts paid, outstanding balances, transaction costs, and other documented consequences.
You may contact Hall Attorneys if you are waiting for a response, were denied reimbursement, received only part of the amount you reported, or received a payment and still have questions. Preserve any terms, acknowledgments, or releases associated with an offer or payment.
A reimbursement does not automatically establish or eliminate a legal claim. Available remedies depend on the facts, applicable terms and law, and any payment or agreement. Hall Attorneys has not determined individual eligibility, legal responsibility, or compensation.
Who should contact Hall Attorneys?
We would like to hear from Polymarket.com users and others with records suggesting a connection to this incident, particularly those who:
- Saw an unexpected transfer, withdrawal, token approval, signature request, or account or position change.
- Received an incident notice, support response, reimbursement offer, denial, or payment related to the October 29 incident.
- Experienced a suspected unauthorized transaction or documented response costs and can describe when the activity occurred.
You do not need a formal breach notice to request a review. Using Polymarket, connecting a wallet, or losing money on a trade does not establish that you were affected by this compromise. Ordinary trading losses and incident-related losses require separate evaluation.
What should you preserve?
Keep saved images, transaction hashes or block-explorer links, account and position histories, wallet alerts, and records showing relevant dates, times, time zones, assets, and amounts. Preserve support tickets, incident notices, reimbursement communications, payments, expenses, and any terms you were asked to accept.
You do not need to reconnect a wallet, approve a transaction, or reproduce suspicious activity to document your concern. Start with records already in your possession and a description of what happened.
Do not send seed phrases, recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, API secrets, login links, verification codes, or wallet backup files. Polymarket’s own help center also instructs users to keep private keys private. Use independently verified official channels for account-support questions.
Contact Hall Attorneys
Provide your name, state or country of residence, preferred contact information, the platform you used, approximate dates, and a brief description of any unexpected activity or loss. Tell us whether you contacted support or received reimbursement.
You do not need to connect a wallet or sign a transaction to request a case review. Describe sensitive documents before sending them; if further records are needed, we will discuss an appropriate way to provide them.
